For decades, I am working on a new aspect of landscape-painting in my series "Human Traces. Why should a painter set his focus on traffic signs, high-voltage lines,
windmills, railroad tracks, contrails in the sky or telephone columns? We want to avoid all these things in our landscape perception. But they are here.! It is an attempt to discover something
behind this banality in the landscape a new beauty, a new light, a new poetry.
Since the energy transition, the topic of windmills is a very ambivalent matter in
the public discussion and there is also an increasing artistic debate.
